Connecting rods are one of the most highly stressed components inside a performance engine. During operation, they must withstand extreme tensile forces at high RPM, intense compressive loads during combustion, and continuous changes in direction under severe mechanical conditions.
At DP Engine Parts, our racing connecting rods are developed using proprietary steel material, optimized designs, and extensive knowledge of material properties and heat treatment processes to provide the required strength, fatigue resistance, and reliability for each application.
Performance Series represents our entry-level steel connecting rod solution, designed for naturally aspirated and mild turbocharged street and performance engines.
Manufactured from the same high-quality forged steel and optimized through advanced heat treatment processes as the rest of our range, these rods provide an excellent solution for street and performance cars targeting low to mid range hp/boost levels.
The rods are machined from forgings selected to require less machining time and fewer operations, keeping the starting geometry closer to the final shape from the outset. Fitted with ARP2000 steel rod bolts, a proven choice trusted across performance and racing applications.
The Performance Series is ideal for:

Recommended for applications producing approximately:
Up to 150-180 hp per cylinder, depending on engine configuration, RPM, torque output, and operating conditions. Maximum recommended engine speed: 9,000 RPM for naturally aspirated applications.
The correct connecting rod specification depends not only on horsepower, but also on torque output, cylinder pressure, RPM range, boost pressure, engine architecture, and intended use.
